Claim Your Power: Stop The Hustle Now!

December 04, 20255 min read

Welcome, Fabulous Creator!

Do you ever feel like you’re on the most exhausting hamster wheel in the universe? It’s the wheel of holiday pressure and end-of-year hustle, promising that if you just finish one more task, attend one more obligatory event, or squash one more moment of stress, you’ll finally be able to relax.

Stop right there, darling.

The game is rigged. The key to a better life isn't fixing the person you were yesterday; it's radically changing the lens through which you see the person you are right now.

This post is your cheat sheet to a new reality—a collection of counter-intuitive truths designed to upgrade your personal operating system. It’s all grounded in one single, non-negotiable principle: You are already perfect, whole, and complete in this very moment. It's time to claim the present of presence.

Counter-Intuitive Truth 1: Your Problems Are Elegant, Brilliant Solutions

This is a big one, so take a deep breath. Instead of viewing your problems as frustrating obstacles or signs of failure, what if you saw them as brilliant, elegant solutions to deeper, often unseen, issues?

The question to ask yourself isn't, "Why is this happening to me?" (That's the Drama Society calling!). The empowered question is: "What solutions are my problems solving right now?"

I learned this firsthand after a series of vehicle disasters that felt anything but brilliant. After one motor blew out in the mountains, the huge "problem" felt like a cosmic sign to quit. But when I chose to look closer, I saw the elegant solution at play: the breakdown forced me to stop traveling, save money on internet costs, and, most importantly, allowed me to completely rebuild the engine. This breakdown, this Dumpster Fire, was the only way to ensure I’d have a solid, reliable vehicle for my cross-country travels.

This reframe is an act of Radical Responsibility in the present moment. It shifts you from victimhood—blaming the rain—to empowered curiosity—grabbing the umbrella and asking what the rain made possible. Once you see problems as solutions, you reclaim your power from past circumstances.

The Presence Principle: Why Hope is a Future-Tense Trap

We give away so much of our magnificent power to the future. Here's a provocative idea: hope can be a subtle form of resistance to the present moment.

Hoping for a better tomorrow often carries an implicit, damning judgment that right now is not okay. It places your agency, your power, and your happiness somewhere down the road, robbing you of the energy you have in this exact moment.

Can you really take on the idea that anywhere you are finding hope, you are saying that now is not okay, or that you don't believe you have power in this moment?

Letting go of hope isn’t about apathy; it’s about "getting flat" on the statement, "I fully accept my current state." This is the ultimate act of presence. It removes resistance so you can step fully into your role as the dominant creator in your life, making choices from a place of power, not desperation. It allows you to embody the fundamental principle that, "Nothing is wrong here." By releasing hope, you find your power, grounded and unshakeable, in the absolute now.

The Liberation: You Can’t Earn More Love or Belonging

How much energy do you give away to other people? Too many of us spend our lives on "the validation hustle"—a quest to earn love and secure our sense of belonging. We hustle for approval, striving for perfection we believe will finally make us worthy.

Here’s the liberating truth: Both love and belonging are internal states, not external commodities you can earn. They are already present within you.

Most of the time, the feeling of not belonging comes from an internal "I'm not good enough" story. The moment you stop striving and start acting from your authentic, present-moment self, you realize your inherent worth isn’t negotiable.

If that little internal voice is telling you that you don't belong, ask yourself:

  • Is there a sign saying that this is for someone that excludes me?

  • Has someone physically asked me to leave?

  • Am I in danger?

If the answer to all three is no, then the voice telling you that you don't belong is internal drama. The freedom is immense: releasing the need for external approval frees you to rewrite the fundamental story you tell about yourself and the world, right now.

The Big Reveal: You Are the Editor of Your Reality

Your worldview—the lens through which you see and interpret everything—isn’t an objective, fixed truth. It’s a story you’re constantly telling yourself, and you, my love, are the editor-in-chief.

To take back control of your present experience, you must first audit your current story and then consciously rewrite it. Start with these three statements, noting your typical answers, and then writing new, empowering ones:

  1. "The World Is..."

  2. "People Are..."

  3. "I Am..."

Our minds are wired with confirmation bias—a tendency to seek information that confirms what we already believe. If you believe "the world is hostile," you will find evidence of hostility everywhere, reinforcing your story in this moment. If you choose to believe "people are kind," you will see kindness all around you.

You are not a passive audience member waiting for the script to change; you are the Fabulous Creator editing the script now.

Time for a Rewrite (In the Present Tense)

The thread connecting these truths is that your power exists only in the present moment of presence.

By seeing problems as solutions, you reclaim your power from the past.

By letting go of hope, you reclaim your power in the present.

By releasing the need to earn love, you reclaim your power from others.

By rewriting your worldview, you claim your power to create your future.

Your reality is shaped not by external circumstances, but by the internal stories you choose to believe. If your current life is based on a story you've been telling yourself, what new, more awesome story are you ready to write today?
